torch coral fell on crocea
I had my torch coral fall over right on top of the crocea, I got it off after about 5 seconds. I am worried it stung the mantle. The mantle did not come out the rest of the night. Should I be worried or should it recover fine?

It should recover fine, I've had a euphyllia very near (and in contact) with a crocea for months without an issue of a stung mantle.

Had a rock fall on mine once, took it a while to come back out but by the next day it was fully opened again. I'd say being you got it off right away, it should be fine.

Clams in general are usually unaffected by coral and anemone stings. You should be just fine.

So far not looking good It did open a little bit but part of the mantle is not coming out, and an astrea was sitting on that part of the mantle a few minutes ago, I removed it but I am concerned now. First my squamosa is slowly dieing possible pinched mantle and now my crocea because of being forced to remove all my rock and rearrange to catch an evil six line

So clams are not typically "stung" by corals? I have a frogspawn that has grown by about two times and it is closer to my derasa clam than i would like. It does not appear to be "touching" it but my clam is sort of "leaning away" from it (as much as a clam can lean!!)
SHould not be an issue?
One aside, do clams need some level of nitrate in the tank?

It may be leaning to get out of the shade.
If nitrate is 0-5 that's usually fine for a clam. I imagine like all other organisms in our small enclosed environments, different ones have different preferences.
