I was trying to rescue a clam which had't been looking very well from our local library tank. I got it home and it was beginning to look better but then it sut tight and wouldn't open for a few days. I took it out daily to inspect it and found nothing. Yesterday I woke to find it open and a whole bunch of these snails all over it. My question is that they don't look like the pyramid snails I have seen, they are smooth and not exactly conical, what are they, and most likely did they kill the clam or just try to clean up one that was already dead?
