i know its too late but i wouldn't use tap water for a fresh water dip. tap can contain chlorine and copper and lots of other stuff. use RO water and match the temp to you display temp.

also there are a few liquid phosphate removers. the main ingredient is Lanthium Chloride. they work by precipitating the phosphate out of the water. they are supposed to be added before the skimmer and then the precipitate is skimmed out. im not recommending them, just saying how they work.
