bubble trouble

i've added 3 emerald crabs, and a gold spotted rabbitfish to try and combat this problem. hopefully it won't last long. if not, whats the best way to dislodge the clam from the rock?

is he bored all the way into the rock? My goodness I would have no idea what to do except for a VERY careful dissection of the rock, and then try to VERY VERY carefully get the byssus threads cut...but man have you got a chore for you if that clam is bored all the way into the rock. I guess that's why they're called boring clams!
