My clams...
Here are my clams...
I have had the maxima for about three months, the blue crocea for about 2 months, and the other crocea for about a month.
Thanks for looking!

Watts per gallon is not a very good way to think about light, take the example of a 1/2 gallon cube, technically you could have 8W/G with a simple 4W child's night light, but we all know that's not enough to keep anything.
I had a derassa and a Gigas living in my 15G with 2*55W PC on good reflectors, I immagine you could do the same. These are not really good clams for a 10 though, because they both will get bigger than the tank. The problem with the smaller clams is that they require higher light, and really shouldn't be attempted with anything less than a 150W MH with a lower K bulb.

well what do you think would be a better choice a clam in a 120 with 500 watts of PC or in my 10 gal with 70 watts of PCs or no clam at all.

I think a Derassa or Gigas could live in the 120 provided you keep up on Bulb replacement and put him somewhere he gets good light. Remember PC bulbs only last 6 months, even then they have far less output than when new.
