more clam pix

It's nice to see others who love T. Clams as much as I do. I don't think I'll ever have enough of them. Here are some of my clams in my tank, I'll try to get a good pic of the Crocea posted tomorrow. Sorry if the images are slow to load.

Thanks,

That's my Pseudochromis fridmani, great fish for clam keepers. Not sure why my digital camera made him look that blue, he's more of a purple color, the color of the clams look correct.

Thanks,
I have to say that I feel lucky to have two LFS in the area that have great selections of healthy and beautiful clams. I can't wait to set up my second tank so I can get more. It's a 36x18x16 inch 45g with a pendent that has two 32wt PCs and a 250wt MH, all I need to do is build the stand and I'm rolling.

Nice clams!!! I love these creatures too. I thought acropora were addicting but like with sps I have yet to see any clam that looks the same. All the mantle patterns are different.

You are very lucky to have a LFS that gets in nice healthy clams. I have gotten 90% of mine from Barry but my LFS does get a nice one from time to time.

Thanks,
Barry looks like you are the only one with Derasas these days, I hope you have some left after I get some extra cash. Also do you have any signed copies of the "reef invertebrates" in stock?

Here is my Crocea and yet another Maxima taken from above the tank, sorry I'm not a very good photographer so the photo has glare and ripple from the waters surface.

It looks deep blue/purple and aqua from the front, but they always look better from above.

One of the ones from Barry? Those are cool! I have a new tank in the works a 45g that is 36'' wide by 18'' front to back by 16'' tall. I think that I should be able to get a good view of the clams with an open top and a shallow tank. I have a 250wt MH with 2 32wt PCs pendent for lighting and I'm going to hook it up to my existing system. All I need is the stand and a final OK from my soon to be wife to get it up and running. Unfortunately the stand will be the easy part.

What are you going to use for light on the Clam Tank? I was curious as to how one would illuminate through the 45 degree angle view. You will have to post the photos after you have it up and running.

AlienDomain

PS
If you hear of anyone selling a used Ca reactor have them PM me. With all these clams I have to add calcium on a regular basis (4-5 times a week).
