Meet "Little Joe"

After quite a bit of consideration, I added a clam to my nano reef yesterday. I think it is a "maxima", if anybody can verify that, please do. He is about 4 inches and doing very well. I fed him some oyster eggs and he chowed down.

I plan on keeping with my regular water change schedule to maintain the calcium and will feed two to three times a week. The 1 gal nano makes it very easy to feed. For info on the nano set-up, check out "Steve's Nano" under the nano competition.

What do you think of him?

The color looks different in the pictures, but it is the same clam.

He looks content, His color patteren is great! I can't wait untill he gets too big for you....I have an idea on where he can go!

Yea, now that I look at him, I may have to build a bigger tank. Maybe move up to 1.5 gal.

He does look happy. I didn't expect him to open quite so wide.
