light reflexes

I have a tridacna maxima that I've for around 8 months under a 250 MH and it seems to be doing great, but I've noticed that it just doesn't react to the light like it did when I first bought it. It doesn't seem stressed and has good mantle extension, so should this really be something I should worry about?

I have a derasa that i have had since December. It has grown alot and doesnt react the the light either. I think as the clam gets use to the fish swimming over top of it and blocking out the light it just doesnt mind it anymore. I have a one month old crocea that does move with every hint of a light change. I am sure in months that will change. As long as the mantle extention is good, tight mouth, etc.. then I am sure its fine

It may have just gotten more comfortable with the environment it's in. If it doesnt look stressed, I wouldnt worry about it.

Agreed with all, they tend to get used to fish swimming above them. They also get used to flow to where you can actually touch the mantle with very little reaction.

As long as there is no gaping and there is full mantle extension, no worries.
