Around here Clams are hard to find in a LFS but I think around $50-$75for a 6" is normal

Tips for a happy clam...

Lot's of light, keep calcium up and let THEM dictate where they want to be. You can put them in a general area, but they will normally move to where they want to be. Just try to keep them upright as much as possible. I find that mine likes to stay toward the front of the glass, just to the side of where a powerhead hits the glass.

My squamosa moves daily, it likes to spin in circles. I also like watching it shoot hermits off of it. It'll shoot them a good foot or so.

I like zoa plankton and if you feed Rod's food then your good I like to blow the food at it with a turkey baster and price for a 6inch derasa at our area LFS 90bucks and the best thing I can say is let it do its thing and dont mess with it and keep the calcium up
