jumping clam?

Hi I just got a great looking Derasa clam it seems like its doing well so far. Only thing is I put it up high since I only have 72w pc lights and it was getting a decent amount of light there but it keeps jumping off rocks into the sand. What to do???

Thank you

Put rocks around it to wedge it in sorta they are hard to keep in place until they decide they like it there.

i superglued rocks to the sides of my squammie to keep it from rocking and rolling on my BB. you may be able to do the same. just make sure the glued rocks do not interfere with the clams ability to open and close.

well it was on sand at the fish store so I am guessing it likes sand better... every morning when I wake up it's on the sand - I put it back, then every time I get home from work it's on the sand again. Maybe I'll get some glue... but if the clam likes the sand than thats fine with me just not sure if he will get enough light down there 72w pc and it's about 15-18" from the lights. Argh.

If I was you I'd glue it right away, I lost one of my maximas by having it land upside down once, stupid turbo snails, it only take a few hours and they're gone.
