Info on clam placement

Hi,

I just bought a 4 inch Maxima clam and was wondering where would be a good place to put him.

I have 3 250 watt medal halide 65 hundred K lights. Should I put him down on the sand bottom or put him up on the rock? Local fish store told me to put him up high on the rock column.

Thanks!
Ron

Every thing I've been told says place them on the bottom for a week or two and then place them where you like.

Depending what kind of lighting they were under when you bought it.

I agree that is good to start them on the substrate then move them up later.
