i want 1


hey do u guys think i could have a clam ? if so what kind . please, please,please......

my tank is 67g w/ 1 175w MH 10k , 2 55w 10k pc's and 2 55w 03 pc's .

Yeah, go for a Derasa. They seem to be the most forgiving when it comes to lighting.

Also www.clamsdirect.com usually had good prices, however they are on vacation right now, but should have inventory/prices online by the 24th.

I got my 6.5" Derasa from a local club member for $45, you might have to wait awhile for a deal like that.

BTW: You want one over 3", or else you will have to feed it DT's., over 3" no more need to directly feed it.

You definitely have enough lighting for a Derasa, and possibly for one of the species with a little more color. I've got my Derasa in a 75g under 240watts of regular NO fluorescent lighting. It's doing VERY well. Lighting is only one piece of the puzzle. It's also important to maintain high and balanced Calcium and alkanity levels with a clam.
I think I paid $30 for my Derasa locally. It was 4" to 5" inches when I first got it.
