Well I'm kinda bummed but returned the clam to the fish store today at lunch. They said I'd get my money back in store credit as long as he lived which is fine with me. I was planning on catching the Angel and removing him from the tank but found out that I have to head out of town for work this evening for a few days and time just would not permit me to do it. Getting rid of the clam was the best option at this time. Thanks everyone for the help!

The PH test kit does just read high/normal/low which I agree is a pretty big dump so once I get back I'll be sure to replace the whole kit with the one you recommended.

Cool deal!! You may want to get rid of the angel later anyway,.. there kinda 50/50 as far as eating coral goes, so any new coral you put in the tank you may be taking a risk on.

Enjoy the business trip!
