Gold Maxima? HELP?

I was given a 2" Gold Maxima today by accident at the LFS (not so local actually, I was travelling back home and stopped at this place)

Long story short, I opened the box when I got home and saw the extra bag with the little delite in there;-)

SO, Now what? I have plenty of lights (MH's and VHO's) and keep several SPS successfully. However, I have cleaner shrimp. Is that going to be a problem?

I have Cylopseese (SP?) and other microplankton foods on hand.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hank

Sweet Hank nice suprise you shouldnt have any problems just make sure you bowl feed him frequently if you can, he gets more food that way he will need the food until he is a t least 3 in long and I sometimes still feed mine even at 3 but once he gets bigger he will feed off of your MHS.Might want to get some DTS.Just keep an eye on the shrimp shouldnt be a problem though I have 2 cleaners both are nice to my clams.Good luck with him.

If your keeping sps and they're doing good, it shouldn't be a problem. DOn't feed him the cyclopeez however. It would be like us trying to eat a watermelon whole. Get some phyto like marine snow or somthin and that should do it. Make sure hes got plenty of light and flow and he should really take off. Good luck

I use DT's phyto for my 2" ultra maxima. He is also placed within 12 inches of a 250 watt halide. Gold maximas don't need as much light however, but "bowl" feeding him phyto or similar will do him a lot of good!
