Derasa clam

hi all. yesterday i got a Derasa clam. know _it_all i got it from pet world warehouse in waukesha on moreland. i hope thats a respecable place i never been there before. anyways today the clam opens wide just like yesterday but when i go by the tank it like sees me and closes fast same when a fish goes by. one time i was watching and it opened and closed 3 times in a row. when the main lights go out and the actinics are on the clam stays closed. is this all normal? i have never had a clam but since i can grow montipora(real fast) and acros(slowly) i figured i would try a clam.

Sounds like it's behaving normally for a new addition. Don't worry.
