Isn't it just another bristle worm? I've got tons of worms just like that.

Casey,
It looks like a bristle worm to me as well, I don't think they are harmful unless they are in large numbers and irritating the clam. How many pyramids are you finding? Those things are nasty buggers. I'm still looking for a photo of an egg mass, but I have not found one yet. I did see on a thread somewhere that an adult pyramid snail can make two to three egg masses a day.
I hope your clams are doing better.

Casey, you say you've put your clams in the rockwork. Will that help against the snails?
My clam is on the sand bed, but under there somewhere he found something hard because I can't budge him and he's kinda over on his side, though he seems to be doing fine. Should I try to move him, and how do I go about that?

That looks like a bristleworm to me too, Casey. They will irritate the heck out of clams. If you're seeing some of your clams not doing well it could be a combination of both the pyramid snails and the bristleworms. The pyramid snails are tiny and do not grow big. I have started finding more and more bristleworms under my clams in my 180g. I had them sitting in clam half shells in the rock structure but the bristleworms must be finding a way to climb. I don't think the pyramid snails are going to less in any position the clams are in the tank.
