Clam Photos
Hey, I have to lecture to my reef club in August. I would like Photos of your clams so that I can use them if possible, and for an article in our newsletter. I currently have good shots of my crocea, but it will be a very short lecture if that is all I have.
I know it is short notice for an August 9th time frame but I don't want to risk getting into trouble with using pictures without permission on the web.
My email address is
ray@todaysanswer.com
Thanks yall and I would love to show off yalls clams. And if you are in Atlanta, our August 9th meeting is Cappuchino Bay Aquarium in Marietta. Absolute best clams in Atlanta. (The owner is gonna save me a Maxima (blue) and hopefully he has a squasmosa left)
Ray

Hey are those a mix of Crocea and Maximas? It looks like a tear drop squasmosa in there as well. I will be sure to give you credit as the ARC editor will add these pictures to our newsletter and I will try to remember to send you a copy or it will be out in the Q3 Newsletter due to be released in October. Thanks Casey.
I am writing up an article on basics. What you need, what don't you need, lighting, etc. I have one crocea but I have one maxima and probably another crocea on hold for me since the meeting place is a place that is known for some of the best clams in Atlanta.

I sure will Casey. It is just a handout for a lecture but I plan to include in a article format for the ARC Newsletter. It will be coming out for Q3 in October I think.
Btw, did you have to use a rock under the croceas? It looks like it is on the sand, but I buried a rock under mine per Calfo's and Borneman's instructions and it has stayed put, but now the rock is connected.
I think my first clam that I ever had passed on because I didn't. I always assumed it was snails since there were these snails inside the shell when it died. However I have since learned that they were not the clam boring ones, and this clam has been doing very well in the same tank. I did however move the first one around a bit too much and accidently broke it's hold on the rock underneath it. Which I now know is not a good thing,
Ray

Casey, I am going to use courtesy of Casey, TRT moderator for your pic unless you want your real name in.
