clam moving
my mother in law has a clam. she has had it for about 3-4 months..at least..maybe a tad longer.. anyways it was on the rock the entire time and i guess one morning she woke up and it was on the sand.. nothing had changed in the tank so what does that mean. i went to her house for dinner and was looking at it.. all seems to look good... i tried researching it but i came up with nothing.

i dont know the exact details.... as far as i know it was middle-top of tank...nothing blocking it... and one morning it was on the sand...
i went and seen it, she still has it on the sand.. it doesnt looked bleached.. its completely extended.. is that even a word for clams.. looks normal.. but im not expert either.
im not sure on the lights.. they are mh..i just dont now watts or how many she has.. i dont get over there often..

Tell her to try to put a couple/few smallish pieces of rubble around the base of the clam. This will help keep it in a reasonable spot if it does, in fact, cough or something. Depending on the type and size of the clam, it will probably spin its byssal threads and lock down. If it is a rock boring clam that is.
