Unhappy

clam moved?

Found my clam on the sand substrate. It had anchored itself in a nook on rock. All seemed fine. Expanding, without difficulty. Now the foot, or some kind of white stuff is still anchored by a thread where it was and the clam is in the sand. I place it on a different rock. What happened? Did it yank itself off, riping the foot? Will it be ok, should I do something or just let it be?
Thanks in advance for any help you can share.

Tried to get a pic of what was left. The circled white part is flesh, now apearing kinda stringy in the tank. I moved the crocea to a new place on rock.

Well update to my own thread...moved the clam to the new spot and he seems to be ok. He seems to have anchored himself, ok and is expanding. I changed the rock around so he would be cradled in a crevice. In the beginning of this new spot he was rocking a bit but now is pretty stationary. No fish in the tank yet, just some snails and other corals. Maybe the weight of a turbo snail? Anyway so far so good. Still wonder whether he did it himself or something happened. I do have bristleworms, not a whole lot, I think, but I know they are there (every once in a while I catch a glimpse of a tiny one).

My crocea moved as well, I had him on the bottom in direct MH light, but he moved off a bit into the shade. I guess it was too much light...
