Question

Clam ID and info pls


ive had this clam for about a year and just never got around to IDing it. i also have not ever seen another one like it in a store or someones tank. heres the best pics i could get:

teardrop maxima sounds familiar to what someone told me. are these rare? i just find it odd i have not seen them in any LFS

teardrop maxima. I wouldnt say they're terribly rare, but one of my favorites. They're not often found at a LFS in my experience.

also there are 3 mushrooms attached to the outside shell (was one, then 2, now 3) i dont really mind them but could they hurt the clam in any way?

Hmm, a bit late on the response, but no, I don't think the mushrooms would hurt the clam at all.
