clam food question

Well going to be getting my first clam here pretty soon and was wondering what everyone thought was a good food. So far I have looked at the following:

DT's Phytoplankton
Two Little Fishies Marinesnow
Kent Marine Phytoplex

Let me know what everyone experiences have been and which one u can dose in the tank if possible. Keep in mind it will be a 10g, I have lighting taken care of

I wouldn't add any of those to that size tank, if the clam is larger than 3" then regular feeding is not necessary if you have proper lighting. If you are getting a smaller clam and it is a maxima or crocea I would attach it to a small rock that you can remove and bowl feed. A derasa or squmosa can be placed on the sand and can use the same method for feeding.

I have had good experience with DT's in the past. Use just enough to tint the water in the bowl green and leave the clam in there for about 20 minutes.

How do you do this exactly? I thought they could not be exposed to air.

I've exposed my derasa to air plenty of times and the guy's still kickin... in fact it's a pretty hardy clam, it's survived my tank and me for over a month now and still doing well. This is under 72w pc lights near the bottom of the tank since he outgrew his perch near the top! (he'll be under halides soon)

Anyway you can always put the clam in the bowl while it's in the tank... that way it will never be exposed.
