Clam FAQ, what questions would you like answered?

I have been asked to writeup a FAQ about Clams, I am coming at this from the angle of helping out somebody that has a reef tank, but is researching buying his first clam.

I am going to include parts about:

The lighting requirements for different clams

Telling different clams apart (ID)

System parameters and stability for a clam (CA/ALK especially)

Basic ways to know if a clam is happy (mantle extension, gaping etc,..)

Is there anything you would like to see included?

Thanks,
Whiskey

Might be a bit, I have some research to do, and pictures (for ID) to find, or clams to track down and take pictures.

Why not start your own thread? That way you can get your questions answered.

Thanks,
Whiskey

One thing I get asked all the time is "What's the best palcement for my XXXXXXXX Clam?" Since some prefer rocks and some prefer sand it would be nice to include this info. Of course placement also depends on the lighting. Lower lighting will demand higher placement.
