Clam fading

What makes a clam slowly fade color? Calcuim is good, alk was high but is fixed, all other parameters are good.

It's gone from a deep purple to a light purple. The mantle does seem to be coming out more then before.

I did move it up in the rockwork like Whiskey said, but it's never attached tot he rock I moved it to.

Help please.

I don't know, could be too much light, not enough light, just ticked off about something, genitics, deisise,...

It does worry me that it never attached to the rock, my maximas always do that very quickly, like in a week if happy.

What kind of clam is this (I assume it's a Maxima or Crosea since I told you to put it on rocks).

Oh, P.S. More info about your system would be helpfull, Lighting, flow, fish load, nutreant levels, test results, etc,...
