aptasia on clam

I have a small aptasia on the edge of my clam and am wondering the best way to remove the aptasia without hurting my clam

I have this same problem on my Gigas,.. a huge apista right at the top.

If you don't have any fish that will eat it a Peppermint shrimp may be your best bet.

I don't want to joes juce it because I'll nuke the clam,.. I do have fish that will kill the shrimp,.. so when I do my tank transfer I plan to scrape it off with a razorblade, this won't hurt the clams shell provided I'm carefull.

Having heard a lecture on clams I know they can stay out of water and do in nature at times.

Simply wave your hand in the water above to get it to close .

Pickit up then with tweezers or a plastic knife pull scrape it off quickly.

Place back in tank if you can do this in the tank then so much the better.
