Hello.
I should be attending this meeting (my first) and I thought of something I actually could contribute... I was planning on ordering a cleaning crew from the etropicals.com BYO cleaner package:
http://www.etropicals.com/product/sc...45&pCatId=1805
If anybody wants an invert or three from there, I could probably order them Sunday night and have a hope of getting them before the meeting to trade in at cost. I had been planning to order from West Coast Tropical Marine this week, but they just closed yesterday. Bit of a surprise.
These aren't the greatest prices, but they're better than Fish and Pets and don't saddle me with 50 hermits to get the snails I wanted.

I am actually interested in some crabs, please let me know how you would like to handle it. Can I assume the order will be big enough for shipping to be free?
You should have directions to my house and contact info via PM.
Looking forward to meeting you and your wife, and possibly you child

Yep.
We will be doing at least a $60 order for our own tank, so free shipping is included. We should probably be getting 10 red leg hermits and a mythrax for our own tank as part of the order, but might be tweaking that.
I've forwarded your message to my wife, and I'll update here on whether it will be just me or all three of us when she responds.

I've made the order now, so I guess it's just Michael buying in. I'm PMing you the order number, in case there are problems.

Oh man! This is what I get for not checking in here more often. Ben, I'm glad Michael got a hold of you and you will be able to come. I wish I could have gotten in on the clean up crew order. Ben---did you have the classified in the Mayo listings for a group order to West Coast? I almost called you, but then got busy---you know how it goes.
Anyway....Let me know if you'll have any extras. I'm looking for some mantis snacks.
I'm bringing a new person tomorrow too--It'll be good to see new faces.
See you tomorrow p.m.
Jodi

Jodi,
The only extra I got was a Mexican turbo to replace the 10 astreas I had wanted to get, but etropicals ran out of astreas this weekend. I might have been able to spare a red leg hermit or two, but they ran out of those, too, so I upgraded to scarlets, which I don't tend to categorize as snacks, as they cost so much compared to other hermits. If the turbo ends up perpetually tumbling live rock, it might eventually be offered as a mantis 7 course...
Ben---did you have the classified in the Mayo listings for a group order to West Coast?
Nope. No clue. WCTM is apparently now closed for the forseeable future, though. I'm guessing that might be why etropicals suddenly started running out of stuff... People who were going to order WCTM (like me) went to etropicals for the next best prices that don't lock you into specific packages.

Michael,
I just got a call from my wife. All the inverts arrived looking healthy and active. They didn't split up the emerald crabs or peppermint shrimp, but she'll take ours out and reseal the bags.

I believe that floating the bags open is the best thing to do, until you bring them over. Jodi, what is your opinion?
