Treating Seasonal Affective Disorder

Can you do this with Aquarium lighting?
People who spend time looking at Aquariums seem to feel relaxed and are in better moods after doing so.
Could the lights have something to do with this?
Or is it just looking at the sea life that makes us feel so good?
Are some bulbs giving off the type of light that helps with S.A.D.?

that is a really good question i am sure it has something to do with the lights but i would like to think it is the fact that you are looking at such a peaceful sea life and thinking of your next vacation to mexico or some exotic island LOL :-)

Really bright lights are actually one of the treatments for SAD, so yeah, I'd say a halide or 6 might help.

EDIT: My son was born with fairly bad jaundice, so they put him under... VHO blue flourescent lights... Probably 14-20K range.

Becky ignored me when I suggested we just needed to put the aquarium lights over the crib. But the point is that UV & other spectrums of light help break down toxins in the bloodstream.
