How long has the tank been setup? Could be diatoms also. Increase flow in the infected areas.

Are you using RODI water? Have you checked for phosphates? How old are the bulbs? Tank size? Skimmer? What are you feeding/schedule? I wouldnt medicate until you find the cause.

lots of threads on cyano (SP)...............some people never find the cause, and just need to medicate. you dont have much in the tank, so you dont have to rush.....RO/DI will help (not a must in CCM / good water quality).

Ask on TCMAS page and you will get some good leads as to reading up on the issue.

He has a wet/dry and only 1 fish............could be the new lights (bulbs have good 6 months of life in them).....could be the urchin is not eating the cyano...LOL
