Product Review: Joes Juice Aiptasia and Majano Eliminator

I have now used this product. In use it looks very much like kalk paste but it has a better consistency, the anemones do not retract (hide), and is already mixed. I like it; easier than kalk paste, less damaging to the rest of the tank, and less mess (no mixing).

Joes Juice Aiptasia Eliminator 20 mL

The newest and safest solution to ridding your tank of pesky aiptasia and majano anemones.

Simply feed the problem anemone a small amount of Joe`s Juice and watch the results. Within minutes, the anemone will disappear, for good!
  • Reef Safe formulation: will not harm corals or invertebrates
  • No injection required
  • Feeding Aiptasia and Majano is simple
  • Feeding can be done with the lights on
  • Aiptasia and Majano DO NOT retract while being fed
  • No need to siphon anemone out of tank after application
  • No effects on water chemistry
  • Pesty anemone is eliminated in minutes not hours
  • Applicator plus plastic control flow tip, which helps to eliminate spillage and increase feeding accuracy, included with every order

I've used it a couple times too and I haven't found anything better at killing aiptasias. The only drawback that I found is that sometimes it's hard to use to get the little buggers that are hiding waaaaay down in the bottom in the small crevices when you have short arms and a deep tank.

works the same as thick kalk paste....they are gone for a couple months then pop up every where.

use a flame torch on the rock and kill them for sure.

Guess we'll have to wait for Michael's experience.

I'm afraid he got the aiptasia from me (so I guess the "free" set-up wasn't so free!) The ONLY way I got the kalk paste to work was to use it to seal the *******s into the hole they grew out from. Considering the porosity of live rock, that only leaves about 1000 more exits...
