Photos of Acro....
I can't believe how much this acro has colored up in the past 6 weeks or so (can't remember the exact date it was bought). It was brown and white at FnP when I bought it (John and Duane were there and can attest)......I took these photos last night....
The acro crab that came with it is still alive and well....

I'm always amazed.....
at what a little repositioning can do. had a brown A. humilis(i think) that I repositioned a bit higher after a day of tinkering, and now it's decided it would rather be baby blue! And it looks great next to the bright yellow sarco elegance next to it.

I got lucky with the MHs.....Medicine Man moved to Hawaii and needed to get rid of his aquariums....he was most generous to our club members....which is how I ended up with the MHs...
I was hesitant to go MH......more resistant than anything. As the only female member of the club at the time, there was a lot of "mine's bigger than your's" testosterone stuff surrounding plumbing and lighting, etc. (No offense guys.....). I'm very grateful now to have the lighting!

Hey Jodi;
Glad to hear you like the lights! Also nice to hear you added an actinic. Seems it's been about a year since you got the lights and your dad was building you a custom hood then. Is this a new one??

It took my dad about 6 months to complete the hood (he got it built, but then winter hit and he had to wait for a warm up to paint it). The hood is sweet. The top lifts up for easy maintenance with bracing and the front door swings up with a brace, so I can get both hands in the front if I need too. He installed both fans (4" and 3") and left an opening in the back for circulation and access for my hang ons.
I replaced the MH bulbs this summer and added the PC actinics. The tank looks sooooooo good now. I am indebted to you Larry....
