Thanks for the well-wishes over the miles! You'd be surprised to know how good it feels to know people actually care.
Jodi, BP has never been a problem. I normally run around 115/75. At the doc's office yesterday it was 98/60 and my pulse was 52. It seems the doc in Honolulu started me at a little bit of a high dose on meds!
I keep thinking that I want a tank but really have no place to put it (unless I get rid of the dresser in the bedroom...) For now I guess I'll have to settle for my DVD "Experience the Deep" and keep wishing.
It seems I'm not totally out of the woods yet. Stents have been known to have a significant failure rate in the first couple of weeks so I need to continue taking it easy. The cardiologist said this was no "small heart attack", that without the immediate care and clot busting drugs, it would have been a massive MI. However, he feels that we got the treatment in time and, barring any complications, I should be able to expect a full recovery with little, if any, detrimental cardiac effects.
He won't let me go back to work until after a stress test and nuclear imaging of the heart on the 26th, pending results. Too bad I'm not able to do all the things I'd like to do with the time off!! Fortunately my boss is VERY caring; yesterday was payday and I got paid for the days I was out this week. Just further evidence to me that God wants me here for some reason.
Well, a nap is calling for me and heaven forbid I should miss the opportunity! Hope everyone is healthy and happy.
