Hermit Crab Pic

Got this macro shot of a red-legged hermit crab on Christmas Eve. I just wanted to share what I feel is a really nice shot!

What kind of camera, Larry?

I just got an Olympus SP-350 with an Ikelite housing & strobe.

Here's a few shots from the tropical waters of a Wisconsin quarry.

You have to upload them to some other site and link to them for them to show up full size automatically. TheReefTank saves bandwidth (money) by not showing them full size unless people specifically click on them.

If somebody else is paying for that bandwidth (whoever is hosting the picture), TRT doesn't care about the issue.

You can upload them into the TRT Photo gallery then you will be able to drag them to your posts.

To get to your Gallery Click on your user name under your avatar then click see gallery. You will need to relogin -(same username and password) Then you can upload pics

The camera is a Ricoh Caplio G3. The housing is a Sea and Sea 3000. I got the package for $750.

The two things that sold me on this camera are that it has a focal distance of 1 cm in macro mode and the delay that you get with digital cameras (except the fancy ones that look like 35 mm cameras whose name I've forgotten) is only 1/4 second. The short delay is important because them **** fish don't stop and say "cheese" for you!
