Hi All!
Just wanting to wish everyone and their aquariums the best in 2004 and gloat a little over the weather, diving and such.
It's 7:40 AM and I'm sitting quite comfortably in a pair of shorts (no shirt) watching the rain come down.

Although it's been raining a number of days now (my grass is up to my calves!) and it's getting a little old, I just keep reminding myself how nice it is that it's not FREEZING! The worst I have to deal with on my windshield is flower petals and tree droppings.
I went on a really nice dive on Christmas day. I saw LOTS of Hawaiian 4 color
cleaner wrasses, a 6 & 1/2 foot white tip reef shark, a conch that the ancient Hawaiians used to make trumpets and many other fish and other critters while diving. On the return trip we stopped to watch a HUGE pod of spinner dolphins. They're pretty awesome, playful creatures that leap from the water and spin at a tremendous rate (it would fill an ice dancer with envy!) They also like to "surf" the wake. Cool critters; I just wish they'd have let us off the boat to snorkel with them
As you can tell, life on Maui has been good. I've located a new dive buddy that gets free charters from her job (she sells activities and gets free activities for herself and a friend). I've JUST met her so I haven't been out with her yet but so far things look good as our first conversation flowed VERY nicely.
I hope everyone and their reefs are healthy and happy and find 2004 a very happy and successful year.
