Great Meeting!!

Great meeting tonight....and I want to extend a special welcome to the newcomers, John, Scott, Aaron and Wendy. It was great to meet you all. I'll be sending out an e-mail about the group order as soon as the new saltwaterfish.com sale list comes out. If you haven't sent me your e-mail address yet, please do. (Scott and John, I think I might be missing yours).

The October meeting will be on the 12th at Ross's at 6:30 p.m. I'll send out the specifics as the date comes closer.

One item of business, we are due to vote in new officers for the year. I'd like to suggest holding off until the first of the year, to give the new members a chance to get acclimated....they may want to help out.

Have a great evening!

Jodi

Great meeting you tonight. Jodi, I emailed you my email so you could email me something back. Can I use the word email any more times?

Ross, thanks for the heads up on the fish & pets rock. I will test it and if its bad, they will be seeing me!

Nice to put faces to the fake names online, I'm bad enough with names of people, now I have to learn 2 for everyone but Scott!

Thanks again,
John (newest newbie)

It was nice to meet you, John. I hope things turn out alright with your liverock.

Unfortunately, my daughter kept me distracted enough that I mostly only heard conversations as far away as John and Jodi, but I look forward to chatting more with others in the future.

It was nice seeing you all and I look forward to next month.

Ben How are the corals doing? Did you find a good spot for them?

Sorry I missed it, was operating past midnight. Could've used a few brews after that!

Michael,
The stag has a perfect spot. Its top is 2 inches from the top of the water and Becky called me to say that both corals have opened a little when the lights came on. For the cup, we need to pick up some of the underwater epoxy, as the current is a little too strong at the best spots near the very top of the tank to let it attach itself. The staghorn went into a perfect sized crevice and stayed there. The cup is six inches lower in the tank until it can be attached at a higher spot.

Did a test on the possible copper levels in the tank today. Being paranoid, I tested it 3 times just to make sure I was getting the same readings. Sure enough......

I did pay too much for the rock! As for the copper levels....0, Nada, zip!
I will continue to test now that I have that nagging sensation making the hair stand up on the back of my neck. I do feel better today now that I've tested.

On a similar but no so similar note from the meeting...can someone get me Ross' email or send mine to him. He had an offer of live rock and I would love to see the real thing in my tank.

John

I am glad to hear about the copper, personally I would still toss in a PolyFilter just incase.

I am also interested in Ross's contact infomation, I believe he plays on Reef Central an not here, poor him.
