Yeah crabs are debris eaters not really algae so much. The ONLY thing I'd caution you against with the sea hares/nudies is that if they die or get scared they excrete toxic chemicals that can destroy your tank if unattended to when they happen. Lots of people keep with and have for a long time with no problems but that's always scared me away from them.

I have a black molly i've been tossing from tank to tank for algae for about two years now. She did great work for me until just recently it stopped eat the hair algae. FYI mine is a little ***** she wont back down from my female clown.

Jeff- tell me more about acclimating the black molly to saltwater. I like that idea just to try it, it seems the cheapest route so far if it works. Can I just acclimate them like I normally do fish, just slower? And toss them in and hope for the best?

3 days: Id go 1/3 salt day one...2/3 salt day two and into the tank on day 3.

sweet, thanks everyone for the help! I am leaving town in a few days, so I'm not gonna attempt this before I go. It will be a project for when I come back. I will update the thread when I have some sort of results!

I did this one month ago and started with pure water from the pet store and dripped slowly until the water was dooubled, then I dripped again after emptying half the water until it dobuled. This took about 5 hours and then the put the fish in the tank and it has been happy ever since. I don't think you need to do it over days like some have said.
