Egg crate???
Does anyone have any egg crate that I could buy/have/trade?? I don't need much....maybe 6"x24" or so piece would do - or I could make do with some scraps.....I have been very nervous since my Potter's took a jump a few weeks ago....and want to set something up to cage in the back spaces on my hood...
LMK!

You can usually pick it up cheap in any hardware store.
Might be quicker and/or easier than finding one on a board.

Thanks David...but I think I want to go with egg crate....I have problems with heat and the larger holes I can have for airflow the better, I think.
I thought I'd ask here first...since I don't need a whole lot....and would hate to spend the $$ on a sheet and then end up stuck with a huge amount of leftovers.....

I'd think screen would give better air flow than egg crate. But then I'm not completely sure what egg crate is.
Are you still using that light fixture I gave you that your dad spiffed up?

Hey Larry....
Yes, I'm still using the halide fixture that I got from you....Love the bright lights...
I may be coming to Hawaii next year around the first week in May for a work conference....if I do, I'll be bringing Mikayla with me. Kind of exciting!!

Coming to Hawai'i is KIND of exciting??? Girl, it's DEFINITELY exciting!! Let me know where/when and I'll see if we can get together for a bite and maybe some snorkelling. Seeing the fish we keep in a glass box in their natural environment is AWESOME!!! I suspect your conference will be on O'ahu but I'm sure we could figure something out. It's always nice seeing old friends in new places!!

Yep. It's just taking up space in my basement.

Thanks Ben!!!
I'll see you at the meeting tonight--could I get it then?....will you be bringing urchins too??
I'm going to try raising my Mg this weekend to see if it helps with the bryopsis, but I'd still love to get an urchin.
See you later...
Jodi

Jodi,
Send me a PM for when a good time for you to swing by would be. We'll try the ice trick and bag you a couple of urchins. They have realized the tank is pretty safe and hang out at the four corners of the glass during the day.
If you have a good plastic container handy (like a very clean tupperware), that would make them easier to transport. I had plastic containers, but none were the right size and clean enough for an invert (IMO).
