Once again, I've got something I no longer need...
My 20gal quarentine tank is being disassembled, and I no longer need the
Remora skimmer. It's about 18 months old, and is still working beautifully. I put a new Maxijet 1200 on it about three months ago, so the pump is functioning perfectly. The only reason the original pump wore out is because I had it run dry a couple times using the
surface skimmer.
The surface skimmer/bubble eliminator is included, but I only used it for a couple months before taking it off. It took up a lot of space, was a bit of a hassle to use, and bubbles weren't an issue anyway. Skimming performance is still great even without skimming just the top inch of tank water. For reference, the photo was just taken, and the tank is empty. It's been empty for two weeks, and it's still managing to pull organics out of the water! It's a decent skimmer for small to medium-sized tanks.
Any questions feel free to ask. I'm asking $75 (or best offer by Friday morning if nobody claims it for the $75 price). This listing is being posted on the Eau Claire, Rochester, and TCMAS boards, so first person to claim it gets it. Local buyer (Eau Claire area) must pick it up by Friday evening, so I can spend the money at Dirk's in Red Wing on Saturday.

If it's a person who will be at Dirk's, then you may pick it up there on Saturday.
The skimmer, surface skimmer, pump etc. will all be thoroughly cleaned with vinegar and then rinsed clean with RO water. This skimmer is in like-new condition, with the exception of the o-ring on the collection cup, which is showing signs of wear and drying out. A new one can be bought online for a few dollars, I believe. Or you could get a big o-ring yourself and make it work for you, if you're crafty.
Thanks for reading, and hopefully someone can take this skimmer off of my hands. It's a great little skimmer, but I just don't need it any more and I'd rather have the money to spend at Dirk's this weekend.
PM me to make an offer or claim, preferably, so I don't have to be constantly checking this thread on three different forums. Thanks!
