want to MOD my css 220

hey all, I have read a little about some MODs for different skimmers, but don't see a lot for the CSS 220. I like the mesh mod, and the one with fishing lne, but I am not really sure how to do either correctly. I really don't like the bubble production on my super skimmer 220. (needlewheel) the bubbles are too big and there aren't enough. Any suggestions on what to do, or how to do it? Pictures would be great as well.

thanks,
Jason

get a bigger pump. the greater the pressure difference the more air that will be sucked into the pump itself. sounds like the pump that comes with the CSS220 is to small for the head pressure in the skimmer itself.

sounds like your pump may not be working correctly to me. i run a css 125 and bubbles are very fine and theres a ton of them. id soak the pump in vineger overnight and then clean it out really good. while cleaning it inspect the needlewheel, it may be damaged. also make sure theres no buildup on the air intake tube. if that doesnt help look at sedra pumps. hth
