Thermalelectric Cooler

I was wondering if anyone has used a thermoelectric device to cool the air coming into the skimmer. The affect would be to cool the water via air bubbles.

i have used cooler air from the crawlspace under the house injected into the skimmer. i can not tell how much it helped. the crawlspace stays a pretty good 60, so it may not have been enough. it seems that it would work if the bubbles are small enough. on the other hand since air does not have as good of a heat copacity as the water it may take huge delta T to get any effect.

The air should be almost freezing going in based on my experience with these devices. So I may give it a try

I'm out of cash this month, so it won't be able to get a good thermoelectric device until next month. I want a big one at least 200 watts. They make them for cooling cpu's

http://www.cooltechnica.com/Merchant...egory_Code=DDS

Here's a 226 watt one that 19 amps @ 12vdc but loss brings it to 24 amps, they've come down in price It should freeze anything as long as you remove the heat.
