FINALLY..it begins again.....
I have been gone from the hobby for quite a while. I had a 125
FOWLR tank up for quite a while. I had made the decision to break it down, have it drilled, and make the jump towards a reef. Family issues forced us to have an empty glass box for quite a while.
I have built my own sump, and just returned from a trip down to southern MI to pick up my skimmer. (Euro-reef CS6-2+). My question is before I add baffles, how many would be suggested, and where? I was assuming I will only need a set of baffles before the skimmer. I had a recommendation to add a set after the skimmer as well, however it appears this skimmer returns very few bubbles to the sump, and with the elbows on the return bulkheads, I can't imagine a problem returning bubbles to the tank, but.....
At this point, the only item in the sump would be the skimmer. ( No refugium at this time). The sump is 32"x15"x15". ( approx 30 gal). The sump will be fed by two Dursos. The twin returns are for 2 Ehiem 1060s.
