RTV Silcon in live tank


If I use RTV Silicon to repair a piece in my tank- Do i have to pull it out or can I repair it underwater with my fish and corals, ivertabrays in the tank?

I wouldn't use it period.Only 100% silacone do you use with out any additives!

i also would only use 100% silly cone for anything in the tank. what exactly is RTV silly Cone?

Constrution Grade Silicon that bonds to virtuly anything.
Water proff, Thermaly isulated, remain flexibale through out north american temptures, doesnt paint well. and appers to cure under water with no visable side effects, protine skimmer gets a litle debre but it takes it out. The smell air evaporate within 1 hour of use.

how badly does it smell of ammonia when curing? is it mildew resistant?

It reaks of of methol or something to that effect no ammonia on the ingredent list. It hardens to silcon rubber even algea had a hard time forming on it. I put it in a setup live tank with coral soft coral and fish and other accerise with know visably ill effect!. 30 gal with about a 3 table spoons worth.

ethyltriacetoxysilane
polydimethylsiloxane
silica
amphorous
