Reefdosingpumps.com - Anyone have one of these?

I'm wondering if anyone has one of these pumps that reefdosingpumps.com sells.

If you have one and wouldn't mind opening it up and sending me a picture of the guts, I would REALLY appreciate it. There's 3 or 4 screws and should be pretty simple. I've got an unmodified pump that I'd like to make some of the same mods to that they do.

I'm looking to add a floatswitch on/off to the system along with the mods that they make to prevent no flow / no set errors that un-modded pumps give.

Thanks!

Check out this thread. Makes it real easy to modify a kangaroo pump.

I know....... I put that thread together myself!

I wanted to expand on that and see how reefdosingpumps.com does their mods. From the pictures it looks like they use a Kangaroo 334 but put their own cusom control sticker on it so it doesn't look like a medical pump anylonger. Also my 324 pump seems to still give me no flow errors once a month or so which means it's not quite right yet. I wanted to see how they actually modded it to prevent them.

Just looking to expand the community knowledge a bit through some perfectly legal reverse engineering.

Someone out there's got to have one they'd share.....?

Sorry, I didn't put 2 and 2 together. My 224 has been flawless since I did your mods. Not a single error.

No biggie.

I only get the no Flow error if I forget to fill my 5 gallon bucket and the pump starts sucking air into the line. Then I just purge the tubing and unplug/replug the power and it's fine. I was just surprized that it was still "sensing" to some extent after the mod. As you said, it works great nearly all the time except for that instance.

I agree about using pumpsets. I actually got mine from reefdosingpumps.com and it's much better than the original tubing I was using. I couldn't hardly overcome any head with the regular silicone tubing because it wasn't pliable enough IMO. It wasn't sealing enough to pump adequately. I think I'll just pony up for the replacement tubing they sell for $5 for 2' becuase I know it'll work without the hassle (or at least until I find a confirmed tubing that works just as well).

I guess I'm always trying to make something better! :P
