reef/fish safe glue/epoxy

im trying to find something that has GREAT holding abilty to use to glue some rock onto an overflow box to make it "blend" in and also give critters more choices for homes.....ill be using "rubble" not gona be glueing a 30lb rock to it just lil small pieces....

i know that super glue gel is reef safe but its not gona hold rock work up.

no one in my area sells reef epoxy.......is there anything else that can be used to glue to rocks up without having to worry about anything leakin into the tank and killin stuff???

this is goin into my new setup and there will be no fish or corals in it for at least a month or 2 depending on how long it takes to level out......

thanks

Superglue is going to be your best bet... you wouldn't believe how well it holds rock up

Sure it will.. just give it a little time to dry before exposing it to water... you are going to do this with the tank partially drained right?

the problem is long term superglue will not hold up. It's great for frags straight onto the overflow because the frag will encrust and end up holding on by itself. With the rock, I'm almost certain it will fall in time. Have you considered magnets? I know there are a couple manufacturers that make magnets that will hold on overflows as well. I think www.aqua-mags.com still carries stuff, but there's another site as well that escapes me.

this will actually be done before the tank is ever filled with SW but after we test fill it with FW to test for leaks......

ill check into magnets.....im sure ill come up with something by the time the tank gets here....

Aquamend Epoxy from HD/Lowe's should work.

Also, Deltec makes a two part epoxy you can order I believe. It's like play-do that you mush together and it turns pink so it blends in mostly with your coralline.

ive tought of great stuff but i would have to leave the tank empty for weeks while it fully cures out to make sure all toxins are gone from what ive been told by other people.....

i dont have a HD or lowes here and that sucks....im from the south where they are everywhere ad i love them....here we are dominated by MENARDS but they may carry it....what dept would it be in? and what is it used for? just want to make sure it would be safe in my tank....

if i have to order anything ill just get a few tubes of reef epoxy......since i know thats safe...

some people are saying to use tank sealant but i know that wouldnt hold up long...

what about a couple tubes of aquarium silicon? That would only have a 24 hour cure time. plus i think you can get that in black or clear depending on what your look is you're going for.
