pvc gate valve


Where can I get a pvc gate valve online in 1"... all ace hardware had was 3/4 and that caused too much backpressure for the skimmer. thanks, joe

i could have sworn these guys would have them. Lowe's is where i get 90% of my PVC parts. HD does not carry the selection they do.

I dont think a 3/4 in gate valve would cause much if any back presure on your skimmer. Right now you run your skimmer with the ball valve almost closed. I cant seem to find the folder i put the pics of your skimmer in on my computer. Post a recent picture of your skimmer.

I just got one last week. get the threaded so you can remove it and reuse it. I wish I did that with all my valves.

got my gate valve today and hooked it up. SOOOO much better than ball valves for ease of precise adjustments. These are a MUST have for anyone building a diy skimmer and not wanting to pull their hair out trying to get it adjusted right w/ ball valves.

Anybody ever try a stop valve? or a knife valve? Both are cheaper. I was just wondering why or why not?

Every knife valve on my hot tub leaks a little water when I open or close them. No big deal outside but a bummer on the floor of my livingroom.
