plywood back on existing 125

is this possible? i cracked the back of my 125 and was thinking it may be an option to replace with plywood? anybody out there know anything about this. im broke from the holidays aand am trying to think if i can fix this maybe cheaper than buying another 125. suggestions would be appreciated.---scott

do not know how to do the bond between the glass and the plywood. plywood tanks use a sandwich section. the glass is clamped between pieces of wood, with lots of silly cone to seal it. it might not be to expensive to just get that one plane replaced. a glass cutting place should be able to help you out.

yeah thats my other option. just running through options in my head. i wonder how well i could bond acrylic to the glass?

poorly.

imagine if you could. all of our tanks would be acrylic except for the front, which would be starfire glass. best of both worlds. easy drilling,weight, and piece of mind with acrylic and the scratch resistance of a glass tank.
