Non toxic paint for stand and canopy?

I have built a stand and canopy for my new 75 FOWLR but am afraid to paint with the wrong paint. What type of paint specifically should I use? I want to use a paint that I dont need to use varathane or something to protect it after. Just an all in one kind of thing. I once painted with acryllic and then had to put a protective clear coat and it just seemed to be to much work.

Water base epoxy can with stand underwater .

Thanx. It wont be under water though. I am only concerned where the water might splash on the inside of the canopy. Off to Home Depot I go.
