is there a reason why you are going with the Gen X pump instead of another T3? is it just for price?
if noise is of no concern for you than go with the Gen X, but if you want this tank quiet than go with another T3. this is for a MR1 skimmer correct? you can ask Andy if this pump will work, but i am pretty sure it will be fine.

Andy told me 3 pumps would work with the MR1 Gen X PCX 30, PCX 40 and the mag 12

if the PCX 30 is recommended than the T3 would definately work. you can double check with him. Andy knows his stuff, so if you want to just go with what he says that is fine. i will definately tell you do not use the Mag 12! that is a noisy bugger.
i am only concerned with amount of noise that the pumps will produce.

how much back pressure is on those pumps? i have found that if you put enough back pressure on a Mag it will quiet down, but most of the time we do not use them in the higher head situations.

I don't know Gee-Off. But this is by far the quietest system I have ever had. It is quieter than my sumpless system I just tore down. I agree with you 100% that there are much quieter pumps than mags. I have a blue line running my CR-6 and it is silent (I mean silent). I mean I cannot tell if it is on when I plug it in. There is no sound at all comming from it.

I emailed Andy, about the T3 and he said he is not sure if it would run the MR1 he does not know to much about them pumps. But he said if i am looking for quietness in the pump then he recommends the Blue Line 40 to drive the skimmer

ok i have completely changed my mind for these pumps.
here is the updated list.
1 Velocity T3 for CL
1 Velocity T3 for MR1 skimmer
1 Velocity T2 for sump return
i based my decision from 3 ppl. that being Geoff, 3 90s, and i got confirmation from Andy after sending him a link to about the Velocity T3 and he said it would be excellent for the MR1.
would 3 of em bring me to much heat in the display?
i dont have the money to buy a chiller.

Ok, whats Blan C? just kidding. It is very dependant on many variables. It maight not or a fan on the sump may suffice.
It is really hard to say, the only way to be for sure is to set it up and let 'er rip.
I would think that you would be good to go as long as you have central air in your house.

You may be ok if it is necessary you can just crank up the ac in that one room or get an ice probe 50 watt chiller for $100.
