LED moon lighting

Does anyone have any input about moon lighting? I wanted to Build my own with LED lights. But after some searching in my home town. I was unable to buy the proper LEDs and resistors. Yes radioshack was the first place i looked.

Do you guys know of any online dealers that ship to Canada. Or maybe someone out there has some extra parts they would like to sell.

Is all this even worth it?

see if this thread helps.

if not you could always back engineer one of those cheap LED flashlights that are popping up everywhere.

I have blue LED's on the way to build mine and make one for PJ. LED's are completely dimmable but the blue ones are harder to find.

Give me a week to try this out (thinking four of the big blue ones in a strip of PVC pipe) and I will make you one. I have four of the little DC chargers laying around from an old R and D project.

I'll post pics after making one this weekend.

check out http://www.thelebos.com/ I got one of his kits, and it cost me less than buying at Radio Shack, and the local Radio shack did not stock the lights that were recommended, so I would have had to try to buy them on line anyway. The kit comes with just about eyery thing you need including the resistors, LEDs power supply, wire and even solder and soldering iron. the directions are easy to understand, and give you a couple of options on just how to build your moonlight about all you need to buy is heatsinks if you do not have any aligator clips around.
I think this was a great deal for the not too skilled DIY er, like me.and all at a good price
