Is Paint safe?

I'm redoing my hood, and am using some type of white paint. I thought i saw "latex gloss" on the label, but will find out. If it is going to be directly over the tank, is their a risk of chemical contamination. Should I get more air flow between the hood and the tank?

we painted the wall directly behind the tank while the tank was up and running. it was good ol Behr paint, latex semi-gloss though. we did not cover the tank in order to paint. no harm has come to the tank.

after 24 hours the paint will be dry and you will be fine.

G~

BTW- do not worry to much if you drip paint into the tank. it seems to dissipate extremely quickly in SW. this was a good sized drip also.
