I need some help once again!!!!!

These are my choices.

either run a CLS and not have the seios in my tank OR
run a spraybar with a external pump and use my seios with the seio controller....

I am actually leaning towards option 2 for the simple fact i will be having flyguy make a rock lift for me. so the spraybar would be able to get under the rocks.

Now, this is where i need the expertise of the DIYers.

In order for me to run this spraybar. I would have to run the inlet and the outlet of from the pump up n over the top of my tank.
would this work?? and what pump would be good for running this application?

Yes running up and over the top will work, that's the way I had mine set up. and as for what pump that depends on how much you want to flow. In my 180 I had about 3600gph and it worked well but I probably could have used more flow.

did you have 3600 on a CLS or for your spraybar?

It was quite involved but it fit the space I had at the time and after a small problem with a couple of air leaks it worked very well.

there are a couple of different ways to add a CLS without drilling there is the over the back which works quite well, but you get a fair amount of flow loss from all of the plumbing. i suggest a 1200gph + pump for these setups. i know there are a lot of people that use this type of CLS. i used one at one point also. do not have a pic right now to show you though.

the other type of non-drilled CLS is like this:

i would also suggest a pump over 1000gph for these also. i have run that type of CLS with Mag's, Velocities, and the original Quiet ones.

I think i am going with just a spraybar instead. And going to dish the cash out for the tunzes w/controller or the seios w/controller.

Would i need a stronger pump for the spraybar? The spraybar would be at the bottom of the tank

what pump are you thinking for the spraybar? a Tunze will not work in that application.

for a 4' tank i would suggest something like a Mag12. i would not go below about 1200gph for a spraybar of that length.

i know the tunzes will not work. I am referring to the tunzes and the seios for extra flow thru out the tank eliminating my CLS

Pump choice i have not decided. i would rather it not be a mag drive tho

Tunze's and Seio's will make great added flow. i do not think that they will take the place of the spray bar though unless your LR is very open though.

not sure what pump would be good for that CLS. i like to recommend Velocity pumps for everything, but this is application is out of their range. you might want to look at the other Blue-Line pumps also. i think the Sequence pumps will be to big for this application also.
