I need a hang on refuge

Would any of you DYIers be interested in building me a hang on refugium? I've been looking for one on the net but I can't find any custom acrylic workers that have any time to build me one. I only have room enough for it to be 12" wide at the max. I think the smallest one CPR has is 13". If anyone is interested in earning a little extra cash or you know where I can find a refuge like that, drop me a line.

i do not have any time myself to do one, besides i make some of the ugliest joints know to man.

i am sure if you talk to either www.myreefcreations.com or www.reefmania.net they can build you one to your exact specs.

Ok, thanks a lot. I wouldn't even want to try a DIY refuge. I'm sure the thing would leak so badly. Oh well. Some things just weren't ment to be tried by me.

it really is easier than you think. give it a go. the acrylic is cheap. the hard part is finding the cement, but if you have a plastic supply place near you then you are golden. just get some 1/4" acrylic and some weldon 16 and go for it. if it leaks just glue a piece over the leak. i use a silly jig saw to cut my acrylic, hence the reason my joints are way ugly.

give it a try. you may surprise yourself.

I might try that sometime. Although I think the nearest place I can get acrylic is an hour away.

I know. I ordered a refuge off of ebay and it didn't say whether or not there was any assembly required so I assumed it was put together. Boy did I get ripped off. I paid 45 bucks for something I could have just made myself with 10 dollars worth of parts from my local hardware store.

I really like my hang-on fuge. When I put the striplight on, it really tops it off nicely. I don't think it looks any worse than my tetratec filter or my protien skimmer.
